Vacation Bible School 2022
Dear Parents:
We are so excited that you have decided to sign your child up for an exciting week at Monumental Totally Catholic VBS. We look forward to sharing Jesus’ word with your child and having a great time! Things may look a little different this year compared to years past. We are going to mix Pre-K and Kindergarten with 3 crew leaders, 1st and 2nd grade will be mixed with 3 crew leaders, and 3rd, 4th and 5th will be mixed with 2 crew leaders. Each group will also have many volunteers with the crew leaders to have extra eyes on the children at all times. One of the reasons for this, is so each group will have more time at each station to learn more songs and dances, more time to put their crafts together, more time to play games, and more time to play the games that will be set up for them. It also gives them a little bit more time to eat their meal before we start and to have more time in our opening to learn about our Bible Buddies every day.
We are asking that the children going into Pre-K are turning 4 years old on or before June 1, 2022. Also we are accepting children that are going into 5th grade. If they have completed 5th grade, we would like them to volunteer their time with us in helping out at one of the different stations, if they would like to do so.
Giving them more time in each station allows for less frustration that they didn’t get a chance at the game, have enough time to do their crafts, learn more about Jesus during Bible Adventures, learn more songs to sing and dance for you at the end of the week and they just get to have FUN! Learning about Jesus and having FUN while doing so are the most important things during this week!!
Scripture lessons are more memorable. Since Monumental doesn’t rely on more traditional teaching methods (like fill in the blank puzzles or word searches), kids experience Scripture stories in powerful, life-changing ways. And that’s something kids of all ages will enjoy…and remember. Then Crew leaders gather with kids for small-group discussions including questions that apply to every child but may touch each child at a different level.
The most important factor in making this program a success is your attitude. If your child has doubts, reassure him or her that this is a wonderful opportunity to have fun, make new friends, sing and dance without being embarrassed, and learn about Jesus!! Your support will speak volumes to the children we are serving. We look forward to having your child that week and teaching them about Jesus and watching them learn!! Thank you for signing your child up!!
VBS will be held June 13- June 17, 2022. We will have VBS from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
